COMMITTEES AND CELLS OF THE COLLEGE

The college has constituted various committees that work independently and collaboratively in enhancing quality of the institution.

Admission Committee

Separate admission committees work for admissions into different programmes/classes, keeping in consideration the State Govt. Rules for reservation in various categories. All admissions are taken in college based on admission guidelines prescribed by affiliating university- C.C.S. University, Meerut.

Prospectus Committee

The committee prepares the college prospectus having admission rules and procedure, fee structure, programmes available, infrastructural, and supporting facilities, teaching and non-teaching staff details, extra-curricular activities, distinguished placements, details of cells and committees of college, and code of ethics to be followed by students.

Proctorial Board

This committee works through the year to maintain discipline among the students of the college and to provide them opportunities to work for the system and the community to inculcate in them the quality of leadership and self-discipline.

IQAC Committee

This committee works to assure quality in the college. The committee takes necessary actions for promotions of teachers and prepares Annual report and recommends curricular and co-curricular activities to college committees, cells, and departments for quality sustenance. 

Medical Committee

This committee ensures availability of First Aid Box to all departments, updating first aid boxes, upkeep of record of consumption of medicines and updates of first aid boxes, organizing medical camps, establishing tie ups with nearby hospitals, and ensuring availability of teachers in medical room as per their time table.

Founder’s Day Committee

The committee organizes Shradhanjali Programme on the birth anniversary of Founder Seth Lai Prakash on 5 January like every year. It is celebrated at a grand level and havan; student exhibition; preetibhoj and various competitions are organized on this occasion.

Blood Donation Mela Committee

Blood Donation Mela is organized on the Founders Day of the college, marked by birth anniversary of Founder Seth Jai Prakash on 5th January every year since 1978. This committee organized Blood Donation Mela in association with Indian Red Cross Society, New Delhi and MMG Hospital. Ghaziabad.

Cultural Committee

The committee organizes various cultural activities such as cultural programmes at various occasions in the college, during National festivals and at the Annual Day celebrations.

Prize Distribution Committee

The Committee arranges prizes and appreciation certificates to meritorious students and for those who participated in various activities of the institution. It makes arrangements for prize distribution of students.

Magazine Committee

Magazine committee publishes the annual magazine named “Neelam magazine.” The committee motivates students to write articles, poems and stories and help in nurturing their writing skills.

Student Cognitive Development Cell

Cell will organize Debates, Paper Reading, Speech, Extempore, Group Discussions, Seminars/webinars etc. for students’ cognitive development.

Time-Table Committee

The committee prepares time table for the main college. The availability of rooms, compact and student friendly time /section/group allotment is considered.

National Service Scheme

There are two units of N.S.S. having 100 volunteers in each. These units provide voluntary community services in the college and outside college. Several social activities such as literacy programmes, patriotic value-based programme, Swachhta abhiyan activities, environment awareness campaigns, health checkups, nutrition and hygiene awareness, psychological counseling in rural areas and camps are the regular activities.

National Cadet Corps

160 cadets are allotted under 13 UP Girls Batallion, NCC, Ghaziabad. Cadets participate in the community activities as Blood Donation Awareness, Plantation, AIDS Awareness, Sadak Suraksha Rules Awareness Cloth Donation, Book Donation, Vaccine Awareness, Swachhta abhiyan activities, environment awareness campaign etc.

Old Student Association

This committee registers alumni and provide membership to old students of college. The committee provides platform to them to interact, participate in various events, to share their view points and expertise and, also to serve their parent institution by whatever means and deeds.

Grievance and Redressal Cell

This committee takes care of the grievances of the students and the suggestions given by them related to various issues in the college. The committee members collect suggestions submitted by the students in the suggestion boxes and through student representatives.

Examination Committee

This committee conducts the university examinations (main), semester finals, back paper/improvement exams for all programmes (U.G. & P.G.) during the time schedule set by the University.

Anti-Ragging Committee

This committee ensures safety and security of new students and encourages healthy environment to prevent ragging in college campus.

Rangers Committee

This committee organizes Rangers Camps at various levels for undergraduates and B.Ed. students both. The Rangers participate in the different competitions at University, National and State level. Rangers participate in various activities like Blood donation awareness program, Plantation campaign, Road safety campaign, Electoral literacy campaign and Patriotic value-based programs throughout the year as this committee aims to develop ethical sense, practice national Integration, personality development through community service and constructive social work.

Academic Calendar Committee

Before the beginning of each new academic year, annual planning is done. The academic calendar is prepared by incorporating all academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to be conducted throughout the year.

Library and Reading Room Committee

Library Committee works for the upgrading and enhancement of the college library. It keeps updating the library in terms of Books, Journals, Periodicals, and other learning material.

Students’ Satisfaction Survey Committee

This Committee receives and analyzes the feedback received from the students on various aspects of teaching learning and evaluation based on guidelines given by NAAC. Committee also receives curriculum feedback from students, alumni, and other stakeholders. After analysis of curriculum, it is communicated to university officials also. Governance feedback is also collected from teachers and students.

Anti Exploitation and Women Safety Committee

This committee takes care of all women safety measures and anti-exploitation measures in college.

Sports Committee

This committee develops sports spirit and skills in students by providing them angle of opportunities to practice and participate in different games and Sports.

Estate/Purchase Committee

This committee takes care of the purchase, maintenance, and upkeep of the infrastructural facilities of the institution. It gives suggestions for improvement to keep pace with the technological developments. Purchasing of all the stationary, equipment, furniture, ICT and any infrastructural facilities is done through this committee.

Nature Club

This club takes care of all environmental activities in college and initiates activities to make college campus green and Environment friendly.

Website Committee

This committee maintains and updates the content on website. All notices and information which are to be uploaded on website based on government or NAAC guidelines are processed through committee.

ERP Committee

This committee oversee the implementation of an ERP system. The committee’s main goal is to implement all the modules: Admission Module, Fee module, Student information system, Staff Information System, Accounting, Payroll, and library. ERP committee also have objective to use ERP as Learning Management system and assessment tool.

Disaster Management Committee

This committee conducts activities related to awareness of students regarding disaster management and organize training sessions for employees. The committee also ensures refilling of fire extinguishers and functioning of other instruments related to disaster management as water hydrant.

Scholarship Committee

This committee ensures receiving applications of students for scholarship (based on rules given by Ministry), sending applications after verification to government portal and communicating all messages related to scholarship distribution and maintaining all related records.

Canteen/Girls Common Room Committee

This committee takes care of canteen and common room facilities to be provided to students in college.

Internal Complaint Committee

This committee is dedicated to receive and redress complaints of sexual harassment. The role of the Committee is to create awareness about sexual harassment and to deal with related problems.

Child Sexual Abuse Material Related Committee

This committee is formed based on advisory (July, 2024) of Rashtriya Manvadhikar Aayog, New Delhi. The objective of this committee is to protect children against the production, distribution, and consumption of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) through organizing awareness programmes and daily basis counselling.

NEP Cell

NEP cell ensures implementation of National Education Policy 2020 in different programmes and takes initiatives to allot skill courses to students. Cell also organizes activities to orient NEP2020.

College Sanitation Cell

College sanitation cell aims to assist in maintaining the cleanliness and solving the problems related to cleanliness and hygiene in the college campus. It educates students about the importance of hygiene, sanitation, and their impact on health. Through educational initiatives and awareness programs, the cell empowers students to adopt good hygiene practices such as regular handwashing, proper use of toilet, and understand the significance of sanitation in maintaining their overall health and wellbeing.

Industry-Academia Integration and Skill Development Cell

This Cell is dedicated to bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. By fostering partnerships with industry leaders, we provide students with invaluable opportunities for internships, workshops, and industry-led projects. Our goal is to equip students with the in-demand skills and real-world experience necessary to excel in their chosen careers.

Online Education and Learning Management Cell

The cell helps in organizing workshops and technical sessions for students’ digital skill development. By providing online platform, cell provides teachers and students to make capable them to keep unison with NEP 2020.

Teacher’ Reskilling Cell

This Cell organizes the various teacher’s training programme and conducts activities related to teaching technology to be used in future by the teacher. The cell also works to make aware teachers about regional, National, and international programme time to time.

Research Development Cell

This cell works for the quality enhancement of various research activities being run in the college. The cell takes care of all researchers’ registration in college, encourages research conduction by circulating notices related to research projects and research paper writings/presentations and research articles and assists in making proposals of research projects and synopsis whenever needed.

Institutional Development Plan Cell

IDP Cell has primary objective to create IDP document for the college with reference to UGC Guidelines. An Institutional Development Plan refers to a plan of action or a set of directives that pivots the institute towards academic and professional achievement. The Institutional Development Plan plays a crucial role in establishing a transparent system for the holistic and inclusive growth of the institute. It empowers the institute to accomplish academic and research excellence by incorporating learner-centric teaching, knowledge creation, dissemination, and application of skills and knowledge.

Activity Club

The activity club of the college is designed to allow students to become more involved on-campus by providing opportunities to develop among them social responsibility, citizenship, leadership, and volunteerism. This club works throughout the year in collaboration with all the departments of college and various college committees like NCC, NSS, Rangers, Nature club, Road safety club, Electoral literacy club, Sports committee, Medical committee, and Cultural committee etc. This club aims to harness and explore the talent of students apart from their academic abilities and, also focuses on their all-round development.

Indian Language, Culture and Arts Cell

This cell promotes all forms of activities related to language, art and cultural for achieving an environment towards holistic growth and inculcating traditional values among the students.

Cell for Differently abled Students and Socially Economically Deprived Group Students

This cell is actively engaged to cater to the needs of students belonging to the disadvantaged section of the community. Assistance is provided to them as per the Ministry of Social Welfare rules.

Mentoring and Counselling Cell

This cell helps students by providing information related to various sources regarding options on higher education, professional fields, and job opportunities to students of various levels, it also organizes special lectures and workshops for the students on issues related to career enhancement, opportunities on educational and career enhancement, personality development, stress management etc.
